- OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, AND DISCLAIMER
-
- 1) The first time you run the program, you will need to
- input your billing information and certain other
- information (date of birth, maximum minutes per session, etc.)
- Please note that when filling in date of birth information and credit
- card information it needs to be formatted correctly.
- (ie. 04/04/71, not 4/4/71).
-
- You will also need to select a password for future use.
- Write this password down in a safe place. In the future
- all you will need to do is enter your password and desired
- minutes for that session (5 minute minimum). Make sure that you
- input the proper billing address for the credit card that you are
- using. Inaccurate data will not allow for a connection.
-
- 2) After you have inputted all of the information,
- click on "Proceed" to enter the program. After it has
- loaded and you can see "ready to make call" in the upper
- right hand corner, click on the "Make Call" button in the
- upper left hand corner to initiate the session.
- After the number is dialed you will be connected
- and a credit check will occur (this can take up to 2 minutes.)

-
- SETTINGS SCREEN FIELDS
-
- The Setup Screen is where you enter pertinent data
- for processing your credit information and verifying
- any fraudulent use of credit card information. Please
- make certain that the information entered is the same
- as the information your card issuer has on file for you.
-
- COM PORT
-
- In this screen you are also asked to make some settings
- selections to facilitate your connection. The Com Port
- selection tells the program where to look for your modem.
- If you do not know your Com Port simply select each one
- sequentially until you make a successful connection.
-
- The Dialing Prefix is to enter any numbers or dialing codes you
- may need when dialing out. (ie. The code you use to disable
- call waiting). The program is already coded
- with either the US nationwide (800) number or a local area
- phone number for international users. Use the dialing prefix
- to enter any codes necessary to disable call waiting or
- or enable an outside line for users on a PBX. For
- international users enter the international dialing prefixes
- to make a direct call to the U.S.. The international version
- is coded with a direct dial phone number 1(xxx)xxx-xxxx
- enter the prefix necessary for making an international
- phone call to the U.S..
-
- RAM DRIVE and MODEM TYPE
-
- The Ram Drive selection and the Modem Type are the
- final connection configuration selections. The
- modem init strings are organized by manufacturer and modem
- model. If your model is not present on the list select another
- and try it, or try one of the generic initialization strings
- at the beginning of the list. If your connection
- fails or you get the message failure to initialize
- modem exit and try another.
-
- The Ram Drive is important for improving video transfer,
- performance and in some cases a connection. A connection
- can fail for some computers if a Ram drive is not present.
- When installing the program you are prompted with the Ram
- drive installer for either Windows 3.1 or Win 95. You must
- reboot your computer for the ram drive to take effect. The Ram
- drive will appear in your File Manager or under MY COMPUTER
- as a small chip icon. In the settings screen of your program
- select your Ram drive to tell the program where it will be
- swapping the video data. If the Ram drive displaces a
- CD-ROM drive or other drive you can remove the Ram drive
- by typing "rem" next to the line it appears on in your config.sys file.
- See the FAQ on the web site for more details.
